Athens

Arrive in Athens, where you’re greeted at the airport and transferred to the stylish Electra Metropolis Athens hotel, just steps from the city’s historic heart. After check-in and time to relax or enjoy lunch on your own, you’ll meet your fellow travelers at a private welcome reception and rooftop dinner with spectacular views of the Acropolis—your perfect first taste of Athens’ ancient-meets-modern charm.
Start your Santorini chapter with breakfast on the hotel’s rooftop before flying to this legendary volcanic island, where sheer cliffs drop into the deep blue Aegean. Enjoy a wine-tasting, grape-stomping, and lunch at historic Volcan Winery, then check into The Majestic Hotel Santorini near Fira, with sea views, pools, and a spa. In the evening, wander Fira’s cobblestone lanes lined with cafés and boutiques, admire sweeping caldera views, and end the day over a traditional Greek dinner in one of the island’s most picturesque villages. Fira: Perched on the rim of the caldera, Fira is Santorini’s lively capital—a maze of whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches, and cliffside terraces where you can shop, sip a drink with a view, and watch the sun melt into the sea.

Crete

After a short break back at the hotel, board a high-speed ferry in business class to Crete, savor your first Cretan dinner in Elounda, and arrive at your seaside resort, where your guides handle check-in while you take in the elegant décor and dramatic coastal setting. Crete: Greece’s largest island, Crete blends rugged mountains, crystal-clear seas, and fertile valleys with a rich Minoan heritage, charming villages, and a warm, deeply rooted food culture that makes every meal feel like a celebration.

Day by Day

Day 1 - Arrive Athens

Welcome to Athens International Airport. Our representative will greet you to assist with your luggage and provide smooth transportation to your hotel. Stretch your legs after your flight as your guides handle your check-in to this contemporary hotel, which boasts spacious rooms, sophisticated décor and stunning views of the Acropolis. If you arrive in the morning, feel free to indulge in one of the hotel restaurants for lunch. Gather with your fellow Adventurers for a private welcome reception followed by dinner on the rooftop of the hotel where you’ll take in the breathtaking views of the Acropolis.

After breakfast at the hotel, we take a guided tour of the famous Acropolis. Enjoy breathtaking views from the temple dedicated to the goddess Athena. Learn from an expert guide about the history of this citadel which is home to some of Greece’s most famous monuments, including the Parthenon. Then we visit Panathenaic Stadium. The Panathenaic hosted the first modern Olympic games in 1896. Junior adventurers can compete in a mini-marathon to win a prize fit for an ancient Olympian! Partake in a lively lunch at a local taverna where you’ll enjoy an excellent meal while being entertained by live music and dancers. Stroll along the streets of the Plaka, a vibrant quarter lined with red-tiled roofs and fragrant jasmine blossoms, where you’ll delight in the museums, monuments and variety of shops. Dinner on your own.

Fuel up on a hearty breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a scenic drive to Cape Sounion and the Greek Temple of Poseidon. Located in the southern region of Attica, Cape Sounion was known by the ancient Greeks as the “Sacred Cape.” Once on the Cape, explore by foot the iconic Greek temple, immortalized in Homer’s Odyssey. Marvel at the wondrous Temple of Poseidon, perched 200 feet (61 m) on the cliffs of Cape Sounion, built by the ancient Greeks in 44 BC in honor of the god of the sea. During your privately guided visit, be awed by the impressive views over the azure waters of the Aegean Sea as your Adventure Guide brings the ancient mythology to life. Drive past the pretty villages and beaches that line the stunning coastline, then stop to savor traditional Greek flavors with an included lunch along the way. Upon your return to Athens, explore the Plaka—the city’s old historical neighborhood. Enjoy some leisure time with your family as you shop and dine in Athens.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant prior to your adventure-filled day in Santorini. Depart by plane for Santorini. Created by a volcanic explosion, this stunning island features steep cliffs that descend into the sparkling blue waters of the Aegean Sea. Visit this idyllic family-owned winery, which has been in business from 1660 to the present. Indulge in a delicious wine-tasting event, then roll up your pants and delight in some grape-stomping. After you’ve worked up an appetite, enjoy a private lunch made with fresh local ingredients. After lunch, visit the Volcan Winery’s underground museum and hear stories about this revered winery from its origins on, tracing its success from its well-tended vineyards to the tables of fine restaurants. Settle into Majestic Hotel Santorini. This luxurious upscale hotel located at the entrance of Fira with comfortable, modern rooms that offer magnificent views of the sea. En route to dinner, enjoy a stop in the town of Fira. Take in a view of the caldera—a large depression in the ground resulting from the collapse of the volcano formed this area. Savor traditional Greek dishes featuring the freshest local ingredients in one of the most picturesque villages on Santorini.

Begin your day with a tasty breakfast and get ready for some fun in the sun. Venture out on a private boat that’s chartered for the entire day. Begin by crossing the azure waters of Santorini’s underwater caldera to explore the volcanic island of Nea Kameni—one of 2 black lava islets located at the center of the basin. Marvel at the lunar landscape as you embark on a “lava walk” up to the volcano’s rim, which provides an extraordinary view of the Aegean Sea below. Your Adventure Guide describes the geology as well as the mythology of how Santorini was formed. After the lava walk, cool down with a dive into the Aegean Sea for a refreshing swim. Then, take a splash in the natural springs to enjoy their therapeutic effects. Travel to a nearby village and dine at a local taverna. Return by boat to Santorini and board the coach to return to the hotel to freshen up. Then, ask your Adventure Guides for recommendations about where to find a delicious Mediterranean meal in Fira that suits your family’s tastes.

Today explore the ruins of this “Minoan Pompeii.” Learn about the volcano under Santorini that erupted in 1627 BC and how this Minoan Bronze Age settlement was buried in volcanic ash. That same ash preserved frescoes and other artworks for posterity. After the coach takes you to Oia’s main square, you’ll be amazed at this picturesque village and how it is terraced down the steep slope of the caldera, with houses built into the niches. Visit old and new structures that vary in both size and grandness. After you explore the village, enjoy a relaxing lunch on your own at one of the many cliff-side tavernas. Later in the afternoon, return to the hotel for a brief respite before heading to the ferry. Head for the island of Crete in business-class seats on a high-speed ferry. After your voyage between islands, enjoy your first Cretan meal en route to your resort. Savor the mouthwatering fare of these local dishes. Arrive at your resort in the evening. As your guides check you in, eye the striking décor of this world-class resort and marvel at its extraordinary setting.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel, then take off on a private boat to Spinalonga. Disembark for a privately guided walking tour to learn about the haunting history of the island as you ponder the ruins of this “medieval ghost town.” Journey to the nearby fishing village of Plaka in Mirabello Bay for lunch. Ask your guides for restaurant recommendations. Join your Adventure Guides at the resort for some fun at the beach or spend the afternoon indulging in the resort’s many delightful amenities. Feel tensions melt away with a treatment from the Six Senses Spa or play a round of golf (additional charges may apply). Swim in the Aegean at the sandy private beach or in the refreshing swimming pool. Unwind in style with a cocktail at one of the many lounges. Junior adventurers dine in a private room while adults choose from several outstanding resort restaurants and à la carte menus. If you need help choosing a restaurant, ask your guides for a recommendation. After dinner, settle down for the evening in a private room to view a movie with snacks and drinks.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast before you spend a delightful day in Crete and at the resort. Board the coach and set off for the Palace of Knossos. This extraordinary palace was restored in the early 1900s, with the grandeur and complexity of the structure kept intact despite its having suffered thousands of years of foreign invasions, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. It was woven into Greek mythology, most prominently in the myth of the heroic youth Theseus who killed the Minotaur. Join your Adventure Guides for a guided visit to the site. At a private lunch served outdoors under a vine-laden trellis, learn how to make tzatziki, a spicy yogurt and cucumber dip. The kombolói (“worry beads”) have been used for centuries in Greek culture to relieve stress or merely pass time. In a private class, learn to make your own soothing string of beads, which you can take home as a souvenir. Unwind by swimming, going to the spa or simply relaxing at this luxury resort. After breakfast at the resort, take the coach for a ride into the mountains of Crete to the rustic village of Bizariano. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the village’s pathways led by a local host who will share stories and wisdom about Cretan culture and life. Welcome to the Cretan countryside where you’ll head to Kato Karouzanos for cheese-making and meze-tasting to accompany a glass of raki—an anise-flavored aperitif—and experience the full flavor of the bold Cretan culture. Next, you’ll stroll down the hill to the village café for lunch on a private terrace. Learn how to make your own cheese pie with honey before devouring your creation for dessert. Return to the resort in the late afternoon to relax and freshen up for the night’s festivities. Raise your glass to toast your fellow Adventurers at the resort. Enjoy a night of sheer entertainment as singers and dancers perform under the starry sky.

Italy 2025

What an amazing time we had in Italy. Every detail from us getting off the plane to our return trip to the airport at the conclusion of our vacation was carefully and precisely scheduled. This is our second time using Niki’s services for our vacation plans and much like our previous vacation to Europe, we experienced problems due to European transportation strikes which Niki quickly was able to confirm certain legs of our travel schedule while changing other parts so that our vacation continued as planned leaving us to worry free. Every transfer was on time and courteous, the accommodations were at high standards and the privately guided tours were extremely informative. We will continue to use Niki for all of our future European vacation plans..

Bucket list trip!!!!!

Just got back from a marvelous 16 day Italy adventure that was so amazing!!!! Rome, Venice, Florence, Praiano and a couple nights at a villa in Tuscany. We enjoyed excellent cuisine, rich architecture, and history! Traveling by train across Italy was one of my favorite experiences!!!! One important tip would be; don’t overpack!!! The best foreign country travel ever!

Nikoleta was absolutely amazing in planning and communicating with us for a trip to Europe this summer. She set up all transfers and the service was great! We had a lot of transfers on trains, planes and cars and some within our party going in different directions and she took care of it all! It was great to not have to worry about getting to and from in a foreign country. The hotels she reserved were all nice and she also reserved certain tours for us that were so memorable. She even took care of transfers and hotels in NYC and the app she used was great. It had all the train tickets, car transfers, hotels and tours right at our fingertips. She made the trip much less stressful and was always responsive if we had questions during our trip. She was very easy to work with as well and we will use her for our next adventure! Wonderful Trip to Italy

Niki was really great at putting together an itinerary for our trip to Italy, and was willing to accommodate our last minute changes and requests despite our trip being planned only 2 weeks in advance. She was responsive to questions, and got everything planned in a timely manner. Additionally, she helped plan additional tours for us, even after our original itinerary was complete. The trains she scheduled were nice, and normally the quickest option to travel between cities which was great for minimizing our time spent on travel and maximize our time spent in each city.
